I am exhuasted! Wednesday night I spent over an hour jumping on the bed with Keelinn... it was the only "fun" thing she could think of to do in my apartment while I was watching her. And she couldn't do it alone, I HAD to do it with her. :-) She's way too adorable. I took some pics of her playing on my computer so I'll post those when I get around to it. She typed a whole page of gibberish in notepad that I had to read to her as if it was "Beauty and The Beast." A challenge for someone that hasn't seen the disney movie in quite a while. I narrowly avoided the "Cinderella" story by suggesting it was snack time. ;-) We only got through about half of the "Nutcracker Barbie" movie before Grandma came to pick her up. Last night I had spinning class at the gym from 7:00 until after 8. By the time I got home I was ready to pass out. It's such a great workout! My friend Ann (who I do the classes with) and I are going to add another class to our schedule. I need this type of structured aerobics, I'll never do it the right way on my own. Tonight I'm working out after I leave the office. Later, a friend and I are going to grab dinner in Syracuse and then go out to some clubs there... most likely Rain and Trexx. The rest of the weekend has got to be spent catching up on laundry... cleaning house... and reading my book. I haven't had much opportunity to read more of Paul Monette's book, but I really want to get back into it. I also have to share my favorite Keelinn story since I've been thinking about it all day. We were driving back from the Iron Kettle pumpkin farm between here and Binghamton last October, and Lori tells me that Keelinn has declared herself a "Femme." I could hardly stop laughing, I had no idea where she would have heard a word like that. So I said, "Are you a Femme?" And she looked me squarely in the eyes and said, "Yes." So I kept the game going and asked, "Are you a princess?" Of course her answer was "Yes." I said, "Are you butch?" She said, "No, Lori is!" So we all had a good laugh over that (Mostly cause it's true). And then I asked, "Are you a girl?" Another "Yes." Then I asked her "Are you a diva?" She pondered this for only a second and said quickly, "No, YOU are!" Well the three of us busted out laughing, and of course, because of our response, she kept screaming "You're a Diva!" "You're a Diva!" I still lose it when I think about that car ride home. Everytime someone brings my name up she tells them that I'm a Diva. And of course, once you're labeled, no one else can have that title. She gets angry if you call anyone else a diva. In her mind there is only one Diva. Me. :-) Gotta love it. *big cute grin* |
