I'm walking down the street minding my own business... I'm going to get my afternoon beverage at the commons market... (Pepsi twist... mmmm). And I look across the street and my stomach immediately leaps into my throat. It's F*cking SCOTT from Binghamton!!!! SCOTT who stole my credit card... and he's walking down the street with an acquaintance of mine!! So my initial reaction was to chase them into the store (this is the first time I've seen him since the a-hole stole my credit card) and say "Hi" to the guy I know and warn him (right in front of Scott) to watch his wallet. Obviously, it got me a little worked up... I hate to see the guy walking around as if nothing has happened and meeting more people that he could potentially take advantage of. *sigh* I called the credit card company as soon as I got back to the office... the most they could tell me is that things are "out of my hands now"... and they're "working on it." No assurance at all. Grrrr.... Earlier, when I came back from my meetings today on campus, my luggage was waiting for me. *sigh of relief* Multiple clients today commented, "Nice sneakers." in a sort of condescending tone which just underscored the importance of having my bag back in a timely manner AND might prod me to get a second set of nicer shoes... just in case. This is actually the second time something like this has happened to me. (The other time my brother accidently walked off with my shoes because they looked so much like his. He eventually had to priority mail them to me from North Carolina.) Hopefully my play-by-play of the trip to Omaha is coming soon. Things are winding down at work... I just don't want to start before I can finish typing it all out. (No, Rob. It's not cause I didn't have a good time!) :-P | private feedback | |
